Koenigsegg is a Swedish automobile brand founded in 1994 and is a producer of supercars, or hypercars, as Koenigsegg classify their vehicles. The prototype, in development since Koenigsegg's start, had a space frame, a composite body and an engine based on the Audi 4.2 liter V8 as it's power source.
疯狂家族一家欢Koenigsegg's first model for sale was the mid-engine CC V-8, the name was later changed to CC8S. It was outfitted with an engine based on the Ford Cobra 32-valve 4.6 liter V8 equipped with a Paxton Novi supercharger. The car had a hybrid monocoque/composite body made from carbon and Kevlar fibers with a honeycomb core. Seperate steel tube subframes housed the suspension system in the front and the suspension system and the engine with its drive train in the rear. The Koenigsegg CC8S hit the streets in 2002.
Evolution of the CC8S have grown to the following models in chronological order: CCR, CCGT, CCX, CCXR, CCXR Trevita, Agera, Agera S, Agera R, One:1, Agera RS and Regera.
The Regera is a plug-in hybrid with a twin turbo 5.0 liter V8, three electric motors for a total output of 1500 hp and a single speed transmission.
